SUPERFOOD BERRY COCONUT BITES The other day, I sat in the kitchen wondering what I could bake. I looked to see what I had lying around and saw my big jar of goji berries. So, I decided to get adventurous with this ingredient, plus I so badly wanted to test out my Inca Berries from @muscle_wellness ? First attempt and they came out SO AMAZING!!! ? My boyfriend wanted to devour the whole batch…but of course, I didn’t let him. These yummy bites taste similar to a muesli bar in a way, but they are loaded with superfoods. ✅ GOJI BERRIES: Similar to the benefits you get from eating other berries, these berries are loaded with beta-carotene, which is a pigment found in plants and fruits that help promote healthy skin. Not only that, but they are an excellent source of antioxidants. As a plus, goji berries are low in calories, fat-free and are packed with fibre — which also helps you manage weight and go the bathroom on a regular basis (very important to get rid of those nasty toxins). ✅ INCA BERRIES: These berries claim to help in the natural treatment of diabetes. The seeds of Incan berries have a mild laxative effect (so don’t go eat them all), which promotes a healthy bowel movement and prevents a build-up of toxins in the body. They are extremely rich in beneficial vitamins, minerals and other essential nutrients. ✅ RAW CACAO POWDER: Cacao powder is rich in flavonoids (a powerful antioxidant with anti-inflammatory and immune system benefits). It's been a few days since I've been active on Instagram. Work was hectic, my studying was put aside, setting up my blog and writing articles just took over the rest of my time…but I'm happy with that! Vegan for 3 and a half years now ? . . . Here’s all the answers to the questions I get asked about being vegan: Q: did you go straight into it? A: **no, I transitioned after being vegetarian for a year** Q: was it tough? A:** not really, I was never a huge fan of meat and after researching about farming practices I was definitely put off** Q: what do you eat now? A: ** in all honesty, I love routine so I stick to oats, smoothies, Buddah and Rainbow bowls, but I must say I go wild when it comes to peanut butter, dark chocolate and the occasional vegan burger and dessert ?** Q: do you ever have a lack of energy from your diet? A: **never! I’ve recently started supplementing b12 but even before that I felt like I had so much more energy!** Q: do you build muscle if you don’t get enough protein? A: ** I eat around 90-100g of protein per day and 2200 calories – and I’ve never been as lean and had as much lean muscle in my life as I do now?** Q: what would you say to someone trying to go vegan? A: transition slowly.
