Focus on contracting your muscles and don’t rush your sets.

What does a typical back workout look like for you?

I do a lot of exercises to widen my back such as pull downs, pull ups, rows, stiff arm push down with bar, hyper extensions.

How often do you train your abs and do you do mostly weighted exercises for them?

I don’t train abs very often when I’m on season, maybe once every few weeks. I luckily have strong abs so I don’t need to focus on them too much.

I don’t do weighted abs at all as I never want my mid-section to look thick. Off season I train them maybe once a week.

What’s one misconception people have about ab training?

“I need to train my abs to flatten my stomach.”

False, you need to follow the correct diet.
