Tell us a bit about your life growing up:
Born and brought up in Mumbai, my mom is herself a fitness instructor and my father is into social anti corruption (more on social service side). I was a lazy geek girl who used to study, get back home and do nothing else.
When I got into standard 9 that’s when I started taking some interest in sport and playing volleyball for school and then for college and on different levels. Post that I got into football refereeing and started playing and coaching as well, for different clubs in Mumbai.
Have you always lived a fit lifestyle? What got you started?
As mentioned earlier I did get into sports in my schooling days, but it was just for the sake of that. So I went to the first bodypower expo that happened in Mumbai and looking at the fit females around, I wondered why can’t I be there as well?
How do you manage to stay motivated and consistent throughout your training and eating right? Do you think it requires a lot of sacrifices?
My parents are the first reason, my mum’s 45 but looks like she is in her teens. The mirror plays a big role. I look at myself and when I see changes in my body it keeps me going and wanting to become better and better everyday and achieve my desired bikini body.
Yes it does need a lot of sacrifice, but when it’s for the best its all goes with a smile.
What are your future plans?
Planning to compete internationally in coming years, say in the next 2-3 years.
Have you had any major setbacks in your life and how did you overcome them?
Not really, I have always been supported by my family and my friends as they know this is what I desire to do.
Take us through an average day of yours:
My day starts with training at times in the morning, prepping meals for the day and then work. I get done and then go and train in the night around 10 and get back home by 12 and then chill for a while and sleep.
What are your top Nutrition tips for the ladies for keeping in shape all year round?
- Eat right to look right.
- Eat junk and look like a ballon (might sound rude but thats what I think).
- Not eating and starving is the worst thing anyone could do.
Do you follow quite a strict diet? Give us a brief description of your philosophy on your diet:
Yes I do follow a diet but it only really gets strict during the season when I prepare to compete. It certainly depends on my goal and in terms on supplements I use my ESN products such as LEAN WHEY, BCAA and GLUTAMINE.
Which 3 common fitness myths do you think most women fall prey to?
- The most common one is LIFTING WEIGHT WILL MAKE ME MANLY. Lack of knowledge leads to this.
- Second one would be I CANNOT USE SUPPLEMENTS, ITS FOR GUYS TO GAIN MUSCLE.
- Third I would say is CARDIO MAKES ME LOSE WEIGHT.
Give us a brief description of your philosophy on your training routines and on average how long do you workout for?
My training routine keeps on changing as needed, I am one person who keeps on changing the training pattern to shock the body. On average I train max for 1 hour or 1 hour 15 mins.
Do you do much cardio with your training?
I am not a cardio person, but it has to be done. Regular days it’s 20-25 minutes post weight training and when competition time it’s 40 minutes on alternate days.
What are your 3 favourite exercises?
1. Squats
To get the bikini booty.
2. Lateral raises
Delts when I started was my most weakest body part, now it’s kinda one of my favourite body parts to train.
3. One arm Dumbell row
What are your top training tips for building your glutes and legs?
You cannot get glutes just by sitting on it. Squat and get what you need.
Even if you cannot lift heavy that’s fine, focus on the contraction and the form. Play with light weight and reps and perform different variations.
My all time favourite is Glute bridge.
Favourite male Fitness models or bodybuilders?

- Mens physique: Steve Cook
- Fitness model and mens physique: Sergi Constance
Favorite female fitness icon(s):
- Womens physique: Dana linn bailey

What is the most common question that you get asked?
Big list, but i’ll put down few:
You eat so much, how come you don’t get fat?
- Eat clean and small portions after specific intervals and not just two big meals (lunch & dinner).
Even I want to train heavy but I am scared that i will get muscles.
- NO a normal working out girl cannot get muscles that easily, instead you will get toned and strong.
Favorite Quote:
“Dont be afraid of being different, be afraid of being the same as everyone.” #CreateYourWorth
What is the one thing you see people do in the gym or when training which really annoys you?
Not re-racking the plates and dumbbells, its the most annoying thing.
At times guys have thrown dumbbells around and I have gone and picked it up and racked it so that they can feel a bit ashamed and sensible enough to re rack it after seeing me do this.
What is your advice to young girls who want to start working out but are afraid to get “too big or bulky?”
Start working out!
Once you start seeing the changes you will fall in love with this process.
