The BBSA/IFBB SA National championships 2012 are as usual the flagship event of the BBSA/IFBB calendar. This event every year is the pinnacle for athletes, and the platform to be selected for the national teams that will be competing overseas 2012. We saw great excitement during the 2011 season, when BBSA/IFBB received our SASCOC recognition and we saw teams leaving for the world championsh…ips wearing their official green and gold colors. This year is going to be no different, the teams selected from this event will be going over and all receiving these sort after Protea colors.

This year the BBSA/IFBB SA National Championships will be hosted by the Gauteng North region, and the beautiful and modern SAX Arena has been contracted as the venue where this event will be hosted. , also on site is a fully equipped gym, café and kiosk that will take care of all the athletes and supporters needs. The big and spacious foyer allows for all exhibitors to display their goods in an open and safe environment.

RUNNING ORDER OF THE EVENT

WEDNESDAY

1ST WEIGHT IN AND REGISTRATION – 5PM TO 6PM
ALL PROVINCIAL TEAMS TO BE AT VENUE & JUNIORS / LADIES / MASTERS / WHEELCHAIR ATHLETES

DIRECTLY AFTER THE REGISTRATION / WEIGH IN: THE IFBB SA NATIONAL JUDGES MEETING WILL BE HELD. 6-30 TO 7PM

THURSDAY

07H30: ALL PROVINCIAL TEAMS & OFFICIALS & JUDGES TO ARRIVE TO THE VENUE
08H00: MEETING WITH ATHLETES (AFTER THE MEETING THE FIRST THREE DIVISIONS MAY GO DIRECTLY BACKSTAGE)
08H15: CHIEF JUDGE MEETING WITH THE JUDGES
08H30 TO 09H00: JUDGES TO GET READY WITH THEIR PAPERWORK / BACKSTAGE TO GET READY TO BEGIN ETC PRE JUDGING BEGINS

15H00: ALL IFBB OFFICIALS AND EXECUTIVE BACK TO THE VENUE
15H15 TO 18H00: IFBB SA NATIONAL CONGRESS ( all BBSA/IFBB affiliated members well come to attend)

THURSDAY 2 ND WEGHT IN AND REGISTRATION

17H00 TO 18HOO: CLASSIC BODYBUILDING AND SENIOR MEN ATHLETES WILL COMPLETE REGISTRATION AND WEIGHT IN

FRIDAY

09H00 TO APPROX 14H30: PRE JUDGING TAKES PLACE

SATURDAY

12H30: ALL PROVINCIAL TEAMS TO ARRIVE TO THE VENUE – TOP SIX LISTS WILL BE UP
13H00: MAIN DOORS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
14H00: MAIN SHOW BEGINS

We are very excited after the 2011 season to have established an alliance with several media partners, and the high light of this event is again that we will be broadcasting the whole of the event on a live stream feed, that can be seen by all on internet and several mobile applications. We also have been able to get our National broadcasters on board and a edited portion of the show will be viewed by many.
Again we will have the support of Muscle Evolution magazine and many other printed media have already accepted the invitation to be at the prestigious event. We have always had great support from the media, and this year will be no different, with Timeslive, Spweteanlive and Sportcentral covering the event as well.
